Repairing Chips in Granite Countertops: A Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Clean the Surface

Step 2: Apply Filling Material

Once the surface is clean, apply the filling material on your chip or defect

Step 3: Apply Leveling Tape

Apply leveling tape afer you have added the filling on the chip. If your chip is deeper than few mm then you need to repeat the curing process and cure in levels. 

Step 4: Apply Blue Light

Once you have applied the leveling tape it's time to apply blue light on the surface. It's extremely important that you used the leveling tape as well. Shine the blue light on the surface for approx 20 seconds. 

Step 5: Sand the Surface

Sand the surface using the grit paper that's in the package. 

Step 6: Clean the Surface and Polish

Finally, polish the surface of the granite countertop and clean it with warm water. This will remove any residue from the polishing powder.
