In this guide, we'll show you how to repair chips in granite countertops, step-by-step.
Step 1: Clean the Surface
Start by cleaning the surface of your granite countertop with warm water and soap. Make sure to remove any dirt, debris, or grease that may be on the surface. This will ensure a strong bond between the epoxy resin and granite.
Step 2: Apply Filling Material
Once the surface is clean, apply the filling material on your chip or defect
Step 3: Apply Leveling Tape
Apply leveling tape afer you have added the filling on the chip. If your chip is deeper than few mm then you need to repeat the curing process and cure in levels.
Step 4: Apply Blue Light
Once you have applied the leveling tape it's time to apply blue light on the surface. It's extremely important that you used the leveling tape as well. Shine the blue light on the surface for approx 20 seconds.
Step 5: Sand the Surface
Sand the surface using the grit paper that's in the package.
